Don’t you hate when you hear a part of a song on a TV show, you love it, but the full length has not been released yet? Well, that won’t be a problem when you see Shanice sing her new song “Breakdown” on tonight’s episode of her reality show Flex & Shanice that airs on OWN at 9/8 central.

BJJP is excited to give you an early an listen:

A former child star with hits including “I Love Your Smile” to her credit, Shanice has always been a vocal master, especially on her ballads. On the sensual mid-tempo “Breakdown” produced by Daniel Watson and written by Shanice, Mali Hunter, and Tre Ace, she sings about missing her guy: “I’m about to have to breakdown/ Imma go crazy / I need you here to hold me.”

You feel the emotion in her powerful soprano, and as always, she finds the right balance of runs to impress without overdoing it.

The song is part of the show’s storyline about her return to music. In the clip below, she’s works on a song with T-Pain:
